Get the newest version from the download page.

You need Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a graphics card with DirectX 12. A card from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel with a hardware video encoder is strongly recommended: Clutch uses it so recording and streaming barely touch your game. Without one, encoding runs on the processor.

  1. Run Clutch-<version>-x64.msi.
  2. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway. The installer isn’t signed yet.
  3. Pick the install folder (normally C:\Program Files\Clutch).
  4. On Shortcuts, keep Add Clutch to the Start menu checked so Windows search finds it, and tick the desktop shortcut if you want one.
  5. Click Install, then Finish with Launch Clutch checked.

Download the new version and run it. It replaces the old one and keeps your scenes, settings, stream keys, recordings and clips.

You need a 64-bit distribution from 2024 or newer (glibc 2.39 or later: Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 13, Fedora 40, current Arch), PipeWire, and a Vulkan or OpenGL driver.

chmod +x Clutch-*-x86_64.AppImage
./Clutch-*-x86_64.AppImage

See Linux for the few things that work differently there.
