Studio mode and transitions
Transitions
Section titled “Transitions”The Transition card next to your scenes sets how scenes change:
| Transition | Looks like |
|---|---|
| Cut | An instant switch. |
| Fade | A crossfade. |
| Fade to black | Out to a colour and back in. |
| Slide | The new scene pushes the old one out. |
| Swipe | The new scene slides in over the old one. |
| Wipe | A soft-edged wipe. |
| Stinger | A video (ideally with transparency) plays over the switch; the scene changes at the point you choose, and its sound plays too. |
| Custom shader | Your own transition written in WGSL. |
Each has a duration, and a direction, colour or softness where it makes sense. While a transition runs, sound from both scenes is mixed.
Studio mode
Section titled “Studio mode”Click Studio mode in the top bar (or press Ctrl+Shift+T). You get two pictures:
- Preview on the left: edit it and click scenes freely; viewers don’t see it.
- Program on the right: what’s live.
When the preview is ready, click Transition to send it live with your transition, or Cut / Fade for a quick switch. In the scene list, the live scene is marked LIVE.
