Clutch 0.3.4 beta 3Beta · 20 October 2026 · Windows 10/11 64-bit, 222 MB · Linux AppImage, 230 MB · What's new · All versions

Needs: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a graphics card with DirectX 12. A card from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel with a hardware video encoder is strongly recommended; without one, encoding runs on the processor and games lose frames.

  1. Download Clutch-<version>-x64.msi and run it.
  2. Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”: Clutch’s installer isn’t signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway.
  3. Choose where to install, and whether you want a desktop shortcut (Clutch is added to the Start menu and Windows search by default).
  4. Leave Launch Clutch checked and click Finish.

A new version installs over the old one and keeps your scenes, settings and stream keys. The virtual camera needs Windows 11.

Needs: a 64-bit distribution from 2024 or newer (Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 13, Fedora 40, current Arch or similar), PipeWire, and a Vulkan or OpenGL driver.

Terminal window
chmod +x Clutch-*-x86_64.AppImage
./Clutch-*-x86_64.AppImage

The AppImage contains everything else Clutch needs. See Linux for what’s different there and for the optional virtual camera.

  • Windows: Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Clutch → Uninstall. Your recordings and clips stay where they are.
  • Linux: delete the AppImage. Settings live in ~/.config/Clutch.
