Streaming
Going live
Section titled “Going live”- Click Go Live.
- Pick Twitch, YouTube, Kick or Facebook Live.
- Paste your stream key. Where do I find it? opens the platform’s page with your key.
- Click Go Live.
Clutch recognises the platform from the key, notices if you pasted a server address instead, and picks the server, your graphics card’s encoder and the platform’s recommended bitrate for your canvas.
Click Go Live again (it shows the stream time) to end the stream.
Streaming to several platforms
Section titled “Streaming to several platforms”Use Add platform in the menu next to Go Live, or Settings → Stream → Add destination. Go Live starts every destination that’s switched on.
- Destinations with the same video settings share one encoder, so a second platform costs almost nothing extra.
- One platform dropping or reconnecting never affects the others.
- While live, the menu next to Go Live can stop or restart one destination without touching the rest.
Destination settings
Section titled “Destination settings”Settings → Stream lists your destinations. Select one to edit:
- Name, and the switch that includes it in Go Live.
- Service, Server and Stream key. Custom accepts any RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, RIST or WHIP address.
- Channel: your channel name (or live link on YouTube) for the chat tab.
- Canvas, to stream a different canvas (for example vertical) to this platform.
- Video codec, Encoder, Bitrate, Audio bitrate and the audio track to send.
- Reconnect: try again by itself when the connection drops.
Stream keys are stored encrypted and never written into setup files.
